The temperature within the infrared sauna sits between 40-55 degrees, this is the optimum temperature to receive full benefits of the sauna.

Infrared therapy is a wellness experience where the results are progressive. This means the more you come in, the better you will feel. Just like working out or dieting, it will take a few sessions before benefits begin to manifest.

You may notice that in your first few sessions it takes around 10-20 minutes to break a sweat. This is because our saunas are heating your body directly and raising your core temperature, rather than simply heating your skin with hot air. This is a defining difference from a traditional or community sauna you might have used before. As your body becomes more accustomed to raising your core temperature on a regular basis, your sweat will become more excessive and start sooner into your session.

What should I bring to my session?

Bring a towel, a change of clothing, and a water bottle. We have towels for hire for $4. We also offer complimentary filtered water for guests.

What should I wear during my session?

All rooms are private so we welcome you to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in - which can be nothing at all. Please remember to sit on a towel during your session. Swimsuits are great too, but if you feel more comfortable having clothes on, lightweight clothing is best. We also recommend bringing clothing that is loose fitting and comfortable to put back on after your session – there is nothing worse than trying to put on tight clothing when you are hot and sweaty!

How do I prepare for my sauna?

The simple answer is hydrate. It is important to stay properly hydrated before, during and after your sauna session. We also recommend removing all makeup to allow your skin to receive the full benefits of the infrared heat.

We do have a shower onsite for your convenience, should you wish to shower straight after or heading out. If you don’t mind being a little sweaty after your session, it is recommended to wait a few minutes before showering as you will continue to sweat and detox as your body naturally cools down.

You can definitely bring a friend to your sauna session. We have 2 x 2-person saunas and one larger sauna which can accommodate 3 friends. We charge an extra $20 per session per person, if you bring a friend.
